SWEET MEMORIES The love for patisserie was there early on. As a little girl I was already cooking and baking in my mother's kitchen. One of the first things I baked was probably simple shortbread. Slowly that grew into more and more sweets and goodies. My grandma used to tell stories about her parents' pastry shop. So baking runs in the family. I have the most precious memories of baking and eating. In addition, love also goes through the stomach and I (or maybe my husband even more) is baked. For my husband, I brought brownies on our first date. When we got married ourselves, we handed out small boxes of brownies to our guests as a thank you. Flavors bring memories to life or they tell a new story. That is why my wedding cakes are unique and completely custom made.

About Bakverhalen


Bakverhalen started as a blog, where stories about baking were shared. During my studies at the art academy I was able to develop my creativity and my passion grew more and more. After my studies, the patisserie called and I started working in the patisserie kitchen at the Kurhaus Hotel in Scheveningen. After I also worked for the Patissier in between, it was time to start for myself. Bakverhalen changed from blog to cake studio. With an eye for design and passion for interesting flavours, I now create unique wedding cakes and other patisserie. Bakverhalen as a company was founded in 2016. Since 2018, the focus has been on weddings and therefore wedding cakes, bridal bites and sweet thanks. Now it is your stories that are baked. Only the tastiest and fresh ingredients are used for this. You can also find all those stories here on the blog. Bakverhalen is also a regular supplier to Lakehouse and Parc Broekhuizen. Bakverhalen is located in Rotterdam, but we deliver almost everywhere.
